Project executable file

    Question

  • I recently created a Visual Studio project. I zipped it up and turned it in for a grade, but it is being returned to me because it didn't have the .exe file. I've checked the bin/Debug folder and copied what I thought was the .exe file, but when I turned it in, it was again returned for missing the .exe file. I am really lost with in this issue. Is it possible that the .exe file wasn't created for some reason? I also checked the bin/Release folder. Also, in order to correct this issue, would I have to start over again, and if so, how will I know the .exe file has been created?

    Hi,

hard to tell... Did the project run correctly when you tested it? If there's an exe in the bint/debug folder, there *is* an exe file.

Did you inspect the zip file for having all files needed in it?

  • Hi Mr.Friday,

According to your description, please create a new application and build it to see whether the .exe file exists.

And please disable all antivirus software to make sure the .exe file could not be deleted.

    Sincerely,

    Oscar
