Is there a way to make the simulator simulate lower end machines? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have lost the ability to use a Surface RT as a remote machine to test apps after installing VS2013 Update 2.  I am trying to save the hassle of side-loading.  Is there a way to make the simulator simulate machines with slower CPU and less memory (e.g. 2 GB) like Surface RT, Dell Venue 8?  Since an app uses CPU and memory intensively, I have to test it on a low end machine before releasing updates.

  • Thanks for the elucidation.  In this case, I assume there is no way to simulate any machine other than the host.

  • BTW,  Remote Tools for Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 RC has been released.  My Surface RT is back to action, this is not an issue anymore.
