No icon in 64-bit build RRS feed

  • Question

  • A 64-bit build of my application doesn't have an icon, but the 32-bit build does. The icon itself has the usual width & height of 32 pixels, resolution of 96 dpi, and a frame count of 1. Is there something I need to do to embed the icon in the 64-bit build? I can't see anything in Configuration Manger or Project Properties I need to set specifically for the 64-bit build.

    Thanks

  • No, you shouldn't have to do anything special.  Double-check the color format of the icon, some icon editors create icons that are > 8bpp.

  • Hi Hans

Thanks for replying. Looking in Visual Studio, the icon contained a 32x32 8 bit and a 32x32 32 bit version. I've deleted the 32 bit version, but it still builds with no icon. I'll try it with one of the stock icons that ships with Visual Studio.

    Cheers
