Proxy API not working on OperationContext not working

    Question

  • The following api using a HTTP Proxy results in an exception :

    InetSocketAddress inetSocketAddress = new InetSocketAddress("localhost", 3128);
                Proxy proxy = new Proxy(Proxy.Type.HTTP, inetSocketAddress);
                OperationContext op = new OperationContext();
                op.setProxy(proxy);
                container.createIfNotExists(null, op);

  • I would suggest that unless you want to direct only some requests through a proxy and others not, you should set the proxy through the JVM or via System.setProperty in code. The error does seem like the container doesn't exist and may not be related to a proxy.
