List Calendar View - Adding All Day Events RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to add the "all day" functionality from the event content type into a custom or item content type.

    I have a SharePoint list with calendar view that I would like to have an "all day" feature.

    Thanks, Chase

  • Hi Chase,

    Here are some suggestions for you.

      • You can direct use Event Content type to the list.
      • If you want to use your own content type. We can see that when we create a new event in calendar list and select/unselect the “All Day event” option, it just hide/visible the Start Time and End Time’s time controls. We can also perform this on our custom list form using jQuery. Here are some functions for you refer.
        //checkbox click event
        $(‘#checkboxID’).click(function(){
        if($(this).checked){
        hideTimeControls();
        }
        else{
        visibleTimeControls();
        }
        })
        function hideTimeControls(){
        //code to hide time controls by changing their visibility style property to hidden or using hide() function.
        http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2690865/visibility-attribute-question
        }
        function visibleTimeControls(){
        //code to visible time controls by remove their visibility style property which is set to hidden
        }

    For more function, you can go to http://jquery.com/

    Thanks & Regards,
