  • Hi,

Normally when you try to install any application such as .Net framework on your system, all the required files to install application gets copied to one temp location, then once installation is successful, all those files will get deleted by the installer. This is true for even unsuccessful scenario.

  • What is your Windows version?

If Win 7, 3.5 is embedded in the OS and cannot be user installed.

If Win 8, special techniques are required:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh506443.aspx

In any case, logs are needed.

Please collect your install logs with this:

    http://aka.ms/vscollect

After you run Collect.exe, you'll find vslogs.cab in your %temp% directory. Please upload vslogs.cab to a public site, like SkyDrive, and post the link here.
