  • hey....m doing 3rd yr btech....cn somebody guide me wt software design as a beginner I can start with 3for participating in imagine cup 2010....i know asp.net n m ready to learn WPF,WCF for d cause...

    This is very open ended question and hence it will be difficult to give you spot answer.
    Some high level recommendations from learning Design aspects are understand Entity Relationship modeling for Database design, Unified Modeling language for Software design concepts.

    Understanding  .net technology (asp.net, windows forms,  WCF, WF, SQL Server) is the least you should be aware to start with

    On tools VS 2005 or higher…VS 2010 has lot of modeling capability built in from class modeling, sequence diagramming perspective.

  • Greetings,

    When you are trying to learn any software or any design pattern, note this point the software that you are studying now should be used in software project that you are going to work at the project level for the final year. Technical knowledge that you have gained should be put in the right way ie your learning curve should be inclined with the project project that you are going to work on with respect to your  project circulum.
