    I was just wondering if anyone created a more enhanced TextBox control which is provided with aspnet and supports the html5 tagging.?

    class WebControls
        {
            // Summary:
            // Specifies the behavior mode of the text box.
            public enum TextBoxMode
            {
                // Summary:
                //     Represents single-line entry mode.
                SingleLine = 0,
                //
                // Summary:
                //     Represents multiline entry mode.
                MultiLine = 1,
                //
                // Summary:
                //     Represents password entry mode.
                Password = 2,

                /// <summary>
                ///   Represents email entry mode
                /// </summary>
                Email = 3,

                /// <summary>
                /// Represents multiple input values separated by a comma ','.
                /// </summary>
                Multiple = 4,

                /// <summary>
                /// Represents url input value and checks for correct url.
                /// </summary>
                Url = 5,

                /// <summary>
                /// Represents a date input value
                /// Checks if it is a correct date
                /// (Some browsers popup a calender control automatically)
                /// </summary>
                Date = 6,

                /// <summary>
                /// Represents a time input value in 24 hour format
                /// </summary>
                Time = 7,

                /// <summary>
                /// Represents a month input value between 1 and 12
                /// (Some browsers offer a month selection)
                /// </summary>
                Month = 8,

                /// <summary>
                ///   Represents a week input value of the format 2010-W{week number}

                /// (Some browsers offer a datapicker which converts to the week format.)
                /// </summary>
                Week = 9,

                /// <summary>
                ///   Represents a number value.
                /// </summary>
                Number = 10,

                /// <summary>
                /// Represents a range input type
                /// </summary>
                Range = 11,

                /// <summary>
                /// Represents a search term string.
                /// Has almost same properties as SingleLine type except in some browser it used different styles
                /// and a result=n atrribute can be added.
                /// </summary>
                Search = 12,

                /// <summary>
                ///   Represents a telephone string.
                /// </summary>
                Tel = 13,

                /// <summary>
                /// Represents a color input value.
                /// Allows user to input a color value via a color-picker.
                /// </summary>
                Color = 14

            }

    So far i started to create my own control. But since i am not that familiar with i'm stuck.

    Are there some sites which point me in the right direction.

    Or is the source code of the microsoft TextBox control available.??

    This looks like a similar issue, maybe you can see this and download the free codes:

    I made a whole suite of the newer HTML5 controls and open sourced it at sourceforge.  This was a great learning project even including adding custom icons to the controls when they appear in the toolbox.
