How to get back the skeleton tracking RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We are using Kinect studio v2.0. Skeleton tracking works fine during the recording. However, when we play back the recording, the skeleton tracking does not show on the screen. Also sometimes when we play back the recording, the skeleton tracking shows, however, the skeleton tracking is not the same tracking during the recording. Can anyone explain? We currently using windows 8.1. Thanks,

  • Kinect Body tracking is generative based on the Depth/IR data from the recording. You must be in connected mode and depending on the amount of frames and where you start the playback it will require a undetermined amount of frame to re-acquire the lock-on for body tracking.

A best practice is to cover the sensor before you start recording. With the sensor covered, start recording and perform the action once you see the lock-on has been recorded. Doing this, any playback of that clip you will be always assured the amount of Depth/IR frames are always the same to generate the body data during connected playback mode.
