open IIS --> propertis on your site --> Directory Security -->Edit

    Uncheck "Anonymous access"

    check "Integrated Windows authentication"

There are two options for you. Either you rely on integrated authentication which means that the browser (IE at least) automagically authenticates the user with the currently logged on credentials. Although this approach is perfectly safe, it is a problem to some users since they do not actually get to log in. If you ask me, I think this is the beauty of it all, but hey - if you *want* to log in explicitly it's your call :) If this is your requirement, you should go for a forms-based solution, using the ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider. See How To: Use Forms Authentication with Active Directory in ASP.NET 2.0. Good luck!
