Can I record with a memory buffer using KSUtil like I am able to with Kinect Studio? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to collect a bunch of data to train my application.  I need uncompressed color as one of my streams.  When using Kinect Studio, I'm able to set a memory buffer while collecting data, which uses RAM to collect the events, then when done, flushes everything to disk.  This works great.  When I use KSUtil from the command line, I don't see any command switches to specify any sort of a RAM buffer.  It seems to start dropping frames from the beginning in order to keep up.  As a result, anything I record from the command line is missing a lot of frames.

Is there a command line switch or some other mechanism I could use to get the full performance of the memory buffer when recording without using Kinect Studio?
