No, there's no inline spell checker for IE...yet.
Believe it or not, that's the answer.

Yes, i have looked at this. But this is not what i am after. If you see how it works in FireFox, it is inline and instant, so in other words as soon as you finish a word and hit space bar, it checks for the typo hi-lights in red dotted underline.
Any thing on these lines for IE?
Peace

Hello,I know that it's kinda offtopic and it's a very old thread, But there's a spell checker in IE7Pro (Compatible with IE6/7/8)I'm currently running IE8Beta1 and the inline spellchecker is available.I'm not completely sure whether the inline spell checker was added by IE7Pro or IE8.Sunday, August 24, 2008 12:18 PM

It definitely wasn't added by IE8...I have to use IE to enter my timecard notes at work and it drives me crazy that there is no inline spell checker. Firefox is nice, but it's almost as bloaded as IE now.Chrome++Thursday, June 25, 2009 1:51 PM

Yeah, and it's apparent your Mac doesn't help you with grammar.
However I agree. This is the single biggest reason I refuse to use IE. It isn't even in IE 9. And the excuse I've heard from Microsoft is they don't wish to include this because their partners can provide this as an add on is absurd. Tell that to Winzip or Norton...

I just downloaded and started using Speckie. It does inline spell checking for IE.
I like it.
It works with my IE9 RTM, it purports downstream compatibility as well

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. You can also install extra languages to spell.Wednesday, September 21, 2011 5:30 PM
