Generating PST File using Redemption & MAPI RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi,

    I'm creating a console application using C# (3.5) Framework. Application creates a pst file and i'm using MAPI & redemption to create pst files. The program works fine and creates file. I'm getting an error on some of the machines when pst file is more than 1.96 GB. It corrupts MAPI store and program crashes. I have gone through many forums but did not found any resolution. Can any one please help me facing this problem. I will be higly thankful to you.

    Looking for your reply

    Thanks

  • What is your code that creates the PST file?

    What version of Outlook is used on the machines where you experience the problem?

  • Hello Dmitry,

    Thanks for reply!!!

    We are treversing nested folders to read some text and creating mail items for pst file. Here is the code below:

    Code used for creating PST Store:

     oSession = new Redemption.RDOSession();
                Redemption.RDOStore Store=null;
                Redemption.RDOFolder oFolder = null;

    oSession.LogonPstStore(strFilePath, 1, strClientID, null, null);

                    Store = oSession.Stores.DefaultStore;

                    Store.Name = strClientID;

                    oFolder = (Redemption.RDOFolder)Store.IPMRootFolder;

                    if (oFolder != null)
                    {
                        DirSearch(mainFolderPath, oFolder);
                        if (oSession.LoggedOn)
                        {
                            oSession.Logoff();
                        }
                    }

    Let me know if this gives an idea of what we are trying to do else I will send a complete code..

    Thanks & regards,
