How to access Display escape code from other driver ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi WinCE folks,

In our current project, Back-light driver needs to access Display driver escape code. Can I use ExtEscape function to access escape code from back-light driver ? Or is there any better way to access display driver escape codes from other driver ?

    Thanks,

    Hareesh

  • In the WINCE600 Emulator BSP, the backlight driver does exactly that: ExtEscape is called to set/query the backlight value (see %_WINCEROOT%\PLATFORM\DEVICEEMULATOR\SRC\DRIVERS\BACKLIGHT\backlight.cpp) -it's the only thing that the driver does actually.

  • Please tell us *what* you are trying to do rather than how you've decided to do it (why would it need that ability?) You'll get a better answer if we know the question's context. Also, we need tol know what version of Windows CE you are using.
