  • Question

  • I have an InfoPath form in SharePoint 2007 that collects information from users and saves it.Users can reopen their saved document whihc brings up this InfoPath form with data in it.

    My question is:

If I modify this InfoPath form and remove some of the fields from it; what will happen to the existing documents?

  • Hi,

i understand that you want to update the infopath form template. As far as i know, if you modify the template and publish it to the library, the existing documents will change when you open them again. After you open them, the changes will show up. If you save the form, the changes will be saved and the deleted data cannot be retrieved anymore. You can close the form without saving it, so that the data will be kept.
