Play To

    Question

  • The coolest demo I saw all week was Play-To from IE (HTML5 video tag) to TV. So I fire up my 2 week old new Samsung 60inch and arrrgh does not work. Never mind my X-Box will work. Arrrgh it does not work either. Is this feature supposed to work in the preview and is it supposed to work with X-Box now?
    Thanks Noel

  • Thanks the document is very helpful. For those that dont want to download it the answer to what will it play on is:

Only the below list of Play To receivers are supported in the Developer Preview. For scenario testing/validation from apps the easiest solution is to use Windows Media Player on another PC on the same Private Network. Other available devices are:

ü  WD Live Hub (firmware version: 2.07.17)

ü  Onkyo AV Receivers (Windows 7 Certified models)

ü  Windows Media Player (on Windows 7 and the Windows Developer Preview)

ü  Metro style apps with Play To Receiver functionality

I am looking forward to DirecTV and X-Box getting their certification.

    Thanks Noel
