What are all the proper txt, spf, etc records to put in our registars DNS for exchange? RRS feed

  • Question

  • So we recently mail from an exchange server started being blocked by google but of course trying to get a a straight answer from then as to why is next to impossible. They just keep saying its a DNS issue and we dont have all the proper records.

But i cant seem to find anywhere that tells everything we should have entered. We have had the following for years and email works fine but a lookup  on MXTOOLBOX shows
dmarc missing, https certificate mismatch (there is no certificate - mail only used on the local LAN), DNS primary name server not listed at parent
then it shows warnings for no spf, local ns list does not match parent ns list, name servers not on same subnet, serial # do not match, soa serial number format invalid, soa expire value out of recommended range, smtp does not support tls.

We current have the following in the DNS

@   TXT  xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (xxx is our correct IP)
    sip  TXT  xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    autodiscover TXT xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    @ MX xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    mail CNAME xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    www CNAME host.host.com (website host)
    @ CNAME host.host.com

Is there anywhere a list of all the records types that should be put in to forward to our local hosted exchange server?

    Thanks.
