    i need to create a .vsd file using java..
    can anyone help for this.
    its just a plain drawing having one textbox and image in that..
    the application creation is not about the uml diagrams or any other purposes.

  • basically, you've 2 main approaches:
    1) use java to create a visio for xml file, or if you're in office 2007 an open xml file (more info here and here ).
    2) use visual studio to create a vsto solution and expose it using web services that you can consume from java (more info re visio vsto, in here ).

    please note that in approach 2, you're required to load the visio application on a server, a scenario not supported by microsoft. so i wouldn't recommend option 2, and instead i'd recommend you focusing on the 1st option.
