401 for newly deployed WCF service application

I'm getting a 401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials error for a newly deployed services app.

I deployed this app to another server some time ago and that version works just fine.

Was there some initial setup that needed done to the server to allow services to work that I'm forgetting?

All ASP.NET Web programs run under the context of the ASP.NET Worker Process that services the App Pool that is hosting the ASP.NET program. If the App Pool credentials do not have the permissions to access a resource on the behalf of the ASP.NET Web program through the AWP, then it's access denied.
