Designer not working RRS feed

    I'm not sure when this started, but the designer stopped working. It says: Connection to the layout renderer failed. this may be caused by a misconfiguration of java.

    I tried changing the jdk but i still get the same error. Checking the logs the following exception is being thrown:

    Please copy your project to another computer, if this issue is disappear. I find a similar thread about your error. this issue was solved in the VS 16.5 P2, so please update your VS to the latest. https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/738643/xamarin-android-designer-error-1.html

    Based on your error message System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): The filename or extension is too long, Your project name or extension is too long. please put your project to the root source(such as E:\ or D:\), then open your project to delete the bin and obj folders,open and rebuild your project in the end.

    The same error occurs :confused:
