  • Hi, 

    I am using .NET 3.5 getting error when try to connect remote Mysql server from my local machine
    "ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified"

    Please help .

  • If you use DSN="something" make sure that DSN created/exists by going to Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->ODBC-->System DSN Tab Page

    If you use Driver={something} make sure that driver installed and correctly spelled by going to Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->ODBC-->Drivers Tab Page

    Please provide us more information for better support. For example, your connection string as JediJohn suggested, or a code snippet etc. By the way, did we install a driver for MySql?
