d3d/xaml app _com_error RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I'm getting a 'first chance exception..._com_error' debug output  in my d3d/xaml app when calling device->CreateTexture2D().

    However, it doesn't appear to hurt anything. The texture is successfully created and the app continues to run.

    Can I just ignore this then?

  • You can probably just ignore it. First chance exceptions which are caught within the framework are generally innocuous and can be ignored. You can break on the first chance exception to see where it occurs if you want to see if it is likely by design or a real error.
