Text Animation in Blend RRS feed

  • Question

  •  I am a new user to Expression Blend.
This is the first time, i am working with an Animation Software.
    Have  a question:

Does Blend support "Text Animation" like in Flash?
If so, how do I do that? I couldnt find any help in the Tutorials or in the Help Menu.

Can anyone help me to find a way out?

  • You should be able to do alot of what flash can do with text. The link below has been very handy for me getting into blend and you will find a few tutorials like working with text and animation:

If anything it might help you with other stuff as well, very handy tutorials and free! :)

  • Thanks xnaught!!

Useful link to simple and well explained videos!!

I learnt from the videos that, you can animate your text using some motion paths.
i.e. convert any object into a "motion path" and use the text to follow the motion.

I couldn't locate various styles used for text animation.
So, should we create Text Animations using appropriate motion objects and text attributes (the style, size, transparency, etc) as per the user's creativity?
    Is that what Blend offers?
Are there no variety of built-in templates for text animation??

Can someone help me here (if possible with a sample solution which explains various text animation styles and the way they are implemented)?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Can anyone share the Sample code featuring Text Animation??

I am getting very well into Blend, now.
Could make some animations using the Video Tutorials (pointed out by xnaught) and from the inbuilt (F1) Help Menu.

    Wanted to try out more.
