AppointmentItem.BeforeDelete event doesn't fire in Shared calendar RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Does the event Item_BeforeDelete require an Inspector to fire?   On deleting a single participant Appointment via right click Delete or using DELETE keyboard key from shared calender the Event does not fire at all in my Outlook 2010.

  • Hello,

The MSDN library states the following for the BeforeDelete event:

In order for this event to fire when an e-mail message, distribution list, journal entry, task, contact, or post  are deleted through an action, an inspector must be open.

Is it fired when the inspector window is opened?

  • Thanks for the reply. The MSDN library does not say anything about the Appointments.

YES BeforeDelete fires correctly when an inspector is open.
