Open Source should result in MSDN subscriptions getting cheaper RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • After more and more former Microsoft developments become Open Source and, thus, free of charge, I very much expect future MSDN subscriptions to become cheaper now.

It would be tremendously unfair to have us MSDN subscribers pay for tools and frameworks which the rest of the world gets for free.

I only want to pay for those parts of software that's not Open Source.

I don't need an Azure subscription, neither Pluralsight training, nor useless priority support in Microsoft forums. Useless, because Microsoft more and more points to StackExchange or GitHub issues for support.

Don't rip us off. Instead, rip off all redundant services from the bill.

I want MSDN Enterprise - but just the software. Just the software, man.

Still people out there alive using the keyboard?

Working with SQL Server/Office/Windows and their poor keyboard support they seem extinct...
