  • In a COM+ application in production environment we get the following error:

    System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80080008): Object server is stopping when OLE service contacts it (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80080008 (CO_E_SERVER_STOPPING))

    What is the cause of this problem and how can we solve it?

    Could you please clarify what type your COM+ application is and if it is possible, please also provide some related code?

    According to this link, it actually shows that this error could be caused by that the COM Object Server is stopped, please check if you are under this situation.

    This link shows the error is caused when you shut down the Dllhost.exe process. The solution is to install the hotfix.
