Record Web Browser Javascript exceptions RRS feed

  • Question

  • I can see where the SDK allows me to record custom events in JavaScript.  But that seems to be aimed at analytics.

Is there a way to record exceptions from web applications so I can troubleshoot client issues?

  • Hi Rob,

Did you take a look at Microsoft Monitoring Agent capabilities?

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn481094.aspx

If you install Agent on the web server you'll be able to see lot of diagnostics data about your app - exceptions, performance events, choose different performance metrics to monitor, download intellitrace file for exception or performance event to continue investigation in Visual Studio, if you set up memory events you can also get memory dump.

  • That is only for server side issues.  is there anything for browser-side JavaScript exception recording?  should I create a feature request in Connect?
