T4 templates editor? RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI,

I've installed the lat CTP for guidance Automation Toolkit, the one that includes T4 templates.

I was wondering if there is some "editor" that enables editing T4 files with colored syntax, because opening it with Visual Studio 2005 manages it as text or at best as xml, and it is simply impossible to read  a template 3 days later :)

    Thanks for your answers

  • Clarius has released an editor featuring full syntax coloring, IntelliSense, autocompletion, etc, for both T4 parts and embedded C# code blocks.

You can find more here: http://www.t4editor.net

Edit your T4 templates with full IntelliSense support!! http://www.t4editor.net

  • Hi,

there is also a T4Editor created by tangible engineering. It supports syntax-highlighting of generated code as well - not only T4 code sections. Intelli-Sense is includeded for T4 as well. In addition it comes with modelling tools you can use to create input data for your transformations in addition to good old xml and dbs.

The FREE Edition also includes Intelli-Sense for the most important namespaces, so i would try this one.
