IntelliSense in VS 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I was going through an article where the author explained the beauty of intelliSense to learn code into the deep.

Intellisense is available with VS2010 ultimate but I am using VS 2010 Professional.

Is there something similar that I can use with VS 2010 Professional.

My objective is to check how page life cycle works and any other calls to method works.

    Thanks!

  • Intellisense or Intellitrace? As far as I know Professional Version supports Intellisense in VB, CSharp and C++ native.
Only in C++/CLI Intellisense is missing in VS 2010.

    With kind regards

  • Yes Intellitrace has some outstanding features and it is a pity that it is only part of Ultimate. I also have to work without it.
For I do not know an adequate substition for it,
    (You are referring to
ASP.NET Internals : Visualizing ASP.NET Page Life Cycle using IntelliTrace
    http://abhijitjana.net/2011/06/26/asp-net-internals-visualizing-asp-net-page-life-cycle-using-intellitrace/
I think? A field I know next to nothing.)
I can only point to some evaluation versions, like
    Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview
    http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=27543
which seems to be an Ultimate version (expiration date June 30, 2012).
But which I would certainly only install into a VirtualMachine or on a "spare" pc (pre-beta!).
But as I said: I cannot really judge, if there is some other tool out there, which will meet your needs.

    With kind regards

P.S. Never mind about errors, I sometimes also make some typos.

Based on your description, we know MaybeCompletelyW ‘s suggestion is helpful. I can see the images in the link provided by MaybeCompletelyW. I’m not the expert about the images loading, but I think you can update your windows to check it, or you can see the images with other computers.  I will mark MaybeCompletelyW ‘s reply as the answer. Thanks for your understanding.

If there's any concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Have a nice day,
