fit all rectangles on one page RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi ,

I wonder if there is a way to force all rectangles in an org chart to fit into a page, I am talking about say 70 rectangles.

Please advice. Your help would be grealy appreciated.

  • Depends exactly on why you want all the shapes on one page, it might be easier to adjust the page edges (Control key and drag the edges of the page) or change the print scaling -> Page Setup -> Print Setup -> Fit to ...

  • I would endorse Paul's suggestion of Print Setup --> Fit to...

  • Thanks for your advice.

Actually, what happen is Visio generates an org chart with 70 shapes which spreads horizontally across a couple pages (though I forced it to be on the same org chart). Doing the "Fit to..." as you suggested makes the whole chart unreadable now. I wonder if there is something that I can setup (in advance) that Visio will fit everything into one page by arranging the shapes automatically so that it will make use of every single space within a page. Because I have to run 60 charts each time, doing all these manually becomes a pain. If there is a feature that I can setup in advance, that will be perfect.

    Thanks in advance.
