    Hi,

I code majorly in C# and i'm wondering if its possible to save a file (maybe a Word or Notepad file) in SQL Server 2000. Please illustrate as clearly as possible.

    Thanks in advance,

    Obinna.

  • Word is just another type of binary and you could store it in BINARY- or IMAGE- (same binary type, but has different size limitation) type column. Basically SQL Server has no idea if it is Word, some picture or other type of the file and it is just set of bytes (BLOB type). Here is sample how to work with binary data. Even though it sample for .jpg file, it will be same code for Word
