Bug in WinRT/ARM? Tapped event no longer fires if Pointer pressed and Released events have event handlers. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just discovered a really strange problem with WinRT on the Surface (ARM version).  I have an image that I use as a button by responding to the Tapped event.  It's worked fine for quite a while.  Recently added code to the Pointer entered and exited events.  My app still ran fine on the Windows Store App host on the PC (direct on the PC, x86).  However, when I run it on the ARM platform the Tapped event no longer fires.

I got rid of the Pointer entered and exited event handlers by removing their references from the Image control XAML, and suddenly the Tapped event began firing again.  Is this a bug?

  • Can you please provide a minimal sample app that demonstrates the problem?
