Trouble Connecting WorkerRole to Azure Storage Account RRS feed

  • Question

  • From @Noyer via Twitter

@AzureSupport Hi,I'm having problems between the connection of a WorkerRole and a Storage Account, in the same region (South and Central US). I can't do any operation, it results with a timeout excp all the time. but in the local emulator, everything works just fine.

    Reviewed this documentation: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/documentation/articles/storage-monitoring-diagnosing-troubleshooting/

@AzureSupport Thanks for the info. But i guess it's related to another topic. As I said, it works in my local machine, but not on azure

  • I managed a way to solve my problem:

I was using only the primary credential of my Storage Account, so after develop a switch between both (Secondary and Primary). All started to work again.

    Thanks anyway!.

  • Hi,

When you say trouble connecting, would you be able to explain what the issue is?
Is there an error message you could share with us?
How exactly are you accessing your Azure Storage from your worker role and when exactly do you hit a block?
What kind of storage service are to trying to access from your worker role?
You could check the following link to check if it helps:
    https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/documentation/articles/storage-configure-connection-string/

    Regards,
    Malar.
