How to run Terminals Services Client progrmmatically with username , password and server-name as parameter RRS feed

  • Question

  •  Hi

    I have a device running Windows Mobile 5.0. I need a way to create an application that have a list of server and username for user to choose like

    Server1-John
    Server1-Jane
    Server2-John
    Server2-Mary

    then Jhon| Jane| Mary input his password and get login to remote server

    I have searching for a while and knows that you can set all other thing except password via setting registry values like
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\202]
    "BitmapCachePersistEnable"=dword:00000001
    "Server Port"=dword:000000CA
    "Full Address"="dizzy"
    "MRU1"="(REMOVED)"
    "MRU0"="dizzy"
    "Expand"=dword:00000000
    "Desktop Size To Device"=dword:00000001
    "Screen Mode ID"=dword:00000002
    "UserName"=hex:67,00,65,00,6F,00,72,00,67,00,65,00,00,00
    "Domain"=hex:44,00,49,00,5A,00,5A,00,59,00,00,00

    then run mstsc with shell()

    but it can't pass password so is there any way to do this ?

  • That option is available in Remote Desktop Mobile (or RDP Client, formerly Terminal Service Client) in Windows Mobile 6. Remote Desktop Mobile is an optional component so not every device have it. (I once read about someone managed to use it in WM5 but I didn't verify it. )

  •  Hi

    On the logon screen there is an option "save my password". I doubt the password is saved in the registry hower you may check it out when you select the "save my password" option.
