Proxy files being built into wrong directory RRS feed

  • Question

  •

We are in the process of migrating our project from version 1.0 to 1.5 and have run into a problem.  In 1.0, services were compiled into the /bin/services directory and in 1.5 they just go into the /bin directory.  We preferred to have our services continue to build into a /bin/services directory.

Our service .dll files correctly output into the /bin/services directory, however, for most of our services the .proxy.dll files are output into the /bin directory.  Some of the services did correctly output all files into /bin/services.  Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change to get all of our services to work correctly?

    Thanks.

  • Hi, please run DssProjectMigration on all your projects so the paths, references etc all are fixed and pointing to the right places for 1.5.

If you do the above everything will end up on bin. If you really want your services to end up in bin\services, you will have to modify the parameters passed on the post build steps for the projects.

Also, for DSS to find your services, please add the bin\services directory to the store\contractDirectory.state.xml file, in the local directory element. This will make DSS look in that directory as well for services.

overall i recommend you just use the default behavior, aka let yours services all go to \bin
