HealthVault Event Notification : Subscription query RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All, As per HealthVault Event Notification blog(http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ericgu/archive/2011/01/20/healthvault-event-notifications.aspx),"An application can only register 25 subscriptions at a time. This number is subject to change". Is it for a single HV account or for whatever no of HV accounts using that application? Does it change if application goes live ? Thanks and Regards, Spandhare.

  • Hello Spandhare,

The scenario you have explained in your post is seem to be wrong because you will only have 5 subscriptions for the entire application not the 25 subscriptions. These subscription will remain as it is  irrespective of the number of persons having HealthVault accounts.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hello Spandhare,

The number of subscriptions is not for the single HV user account level and it's for the entire application level means all the users authorized for this application and this will not change in go-live. The number of subscriptions may change.

    Hope this helps.

  • To expand a bit...

When we added eventing we couldn't come up with a scenario where an application would want more than a few subscriptions, so we chose a limit of 25. If there are scenarios that are not the case we might change the limit in the future.

  • Please correct me if i am taking it wrongly. Scenario is, say 5 Persons having healthvault account subscribe for 5 Health types(e.g. Height, Weight , Allergy etc.) for X application .So we are done with 25 subscriptions for X application. Aren'e we able to subscribe more persons having healthvault account to subscribe for same application ? Is this correct or i mistaken something ? Thanks & Regards, spandhare
