Equivalent of "alias" from SAP BO univers ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I need to reproduce the behavior of the "alias", which are a kind of copy of a table.

For example I have a table "Resource_Dim", and I need 2 actives relationships between this table and a fact table, one for the boss and one for the employee. How can I do this ?

It would be great to have the same behavior as BO Universes "alias" to separate (and rename) those 2 tables from the original table.

  • For two active relationships off of your fact table, you can import the dimension table twice and name each copy accordingly (one as Employee, one as Boss).  The second table takes up additional memory obviously, so suggest filtering the Boss table to contain only bosses (i.e. filter out leaf level resources to make the boss table smaller).

    Hope that helps.
