Metro UI Visual Basic RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hopefully someone can help me with this, I'm looking for a somewhat simple way of Implementing Metro UI elements in Visual Basic.NET (Windows Forms Application) If this is even possible, I would like to know the following things:

How to Implement "Tiles" Or the Rectangular objects used to relay information from Apps (seen in Windows 8 Partner preview) All I want to know in this department is really how to get The Rectangle Object in visual Basic to look like a Microsoft Tile (Color Scheme etc) Perhaps I'm mistaken but it seems to be more than just a simple rectangle object

Next, How to utilize Drop Shadows and Rounded corners in a Forms application Without having Aero glass OR a border on the window.

Any help would be appreciated (Again using VB.NET windows Forms app)

  • You cannot use a bicycle to carry an elephant, so if you have all those wishes,

Don't use Windows Forms but use WPF.

For particular Visual Basic Questions around this you can use the forum for that.

Be aware that for all your wishes you can with WPF also use Expression, questions like for those that can be done in the special forums for those and are no topic for VB forums.
