  • Question

  • Hello:

When I create a new project in VB 2005, I select the Word 2007 complement. And it supposes that some assistant must load "Asistente para proyectos de Visual Studio Tools para Office", but this is not happend, why?

After this, a component is created in the project "ThisAddIn.vb" but when I select this component I can only see the code. I read that it supposes that I can see the design view too. How can I fix this?

    Thanx in advance.

  • There are two "editions" of VSTO. The one you have - VSTO 2005 SE (second edition) - is a free download. It provides only templates for creating add-ins.

The designer you're looking for is part of the full VSTO 2005, and this you must buy separately. It is not a free download. That is why you're not seeing the document-level customization templates or the Designer.
