    I'm trying to add aparameters to the reportviewer control:

      ReportViewer1.ServerReport.ReportPath = "/Info_Develop/OPTest1"

      Dim Para1 As New ReportParameter("USER", "Request.QueryString('USER')")

      ReportViewer1.ServerReport.SetParameters(New ReportParameter() {Para1})

    I keep getting this error, can anyone please help?

    Exception Details: Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportServerException: The permissions granted to user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)

    I have anonymouse access enabled on the website too.

    Hi matthisco,

    1. Have you change the identity to Local Service?
    2. Please dont forget to grant the permission to the folder.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks very much for you reply, can you please tell me which permission I need to grant and on which folders?

    Can you tell me how to change the identity please?

    I now get 'The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized', where my reportcontrol is.

    Thanks again

    Any advice very much appreciated, still cant get access to reportviewer control.

    Cannot access localhost/reportserver now:

    The report server has encountered a configuration error. See the report server log files for more information. (rsServerConfigurationError)
    Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.3\Reporting Services\ReportServer\RSReportServer.config' is denied.

    HI folks,

    I;ve managed to get this working fine if I take out the forms authentication from my web.config:

      <authentication mode="Forms">
                <forms loginUrl="login.aspx" name=".ASPXFORMSAUTH">
                </forms>

    </authentication>

            <authorization>
                <deny users="?" />
            </authorization>

    If I use forms authentication I get the error:

    Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ReportServerException: The permissions granted to user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)

    Can anyone please tell me how to solve this and use forms auithentication?

    Hi matthisco,

    You can grant permissions such as IIS_WPG to your folder. Have you check again that your CR has been configured correctly? Where do you host your CR? Your own server or with hosting provider?

    Hi,

    If I check your error "The report server has encountered a configuration error. See the report server log files for more information.", it seems the CR hasnt been configured well. Please kindly check it. :)

    Thanks very much for your reply, really appreciate it.

    I can get the reports working, if I take out the forms suthentication from web.config. Can you please tell me why this happens? I really need to get forms authentication working if possible.

    Any ideas?

    If I take out this it works:

       <authentication mode="Forms">
                <forms loginUrl="login.aspx" name=".ASPXFORMSAUTH">
                </forms>

    </authentication>

            <authorization>
                <deny users="?" />
            </authorization>
