Badaboom and WDP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there an incompatibility, or just a driver problems/

I've installed "Windows Developer Preview" x64 aka WDPx64 on my HTPC as a primary OS, and I'm planning to keep it this way for awhile.

The box is based on H61 chipset/ i5-2500K cpu.

Now I installed a trial version of" badaboom" that supposedly supports intel quick sync acceleration.

Try as I might, i cannot seem to be able to enable "quick sync.

Is it because of some sort of incompatibility between "badaboom" and WDP, or is it simply cause of lack of a proper driver for Intel graphic 3000?

I'm writing this because I'm rather reluctant to instal intel drivers for win 7 , as people seem to report all kinds of trouble with them on WDP.

    Any suggestions apreciated.

  • Was this working on windows7? In theory everything that works on 7 should work on 8. If this is not the case, please let Microsoft know so by using the Feedback tool.
But I guess installing the drivers can't really harm you.

  • Does the quick sync give any error message?
You might try and contact the manufacturer of Badaboom to see if they can point you in the right direction or if they have tested on
    the Windows Developer Preview.
