"Create Performance Session..." option missing for unit tests in VS 2012? RRS feed

  • Question

  • In VS 2010 I can run a unit test, then in Test Results right click it, and select "Create Performance Session..."  This will then allow me to run the performance analysis tool on the unit test.

In VS 2012, this option seems to be missing from the Test Explorer view.  If I try to create a performance session using the performance wizard, I can only select exe's, asp.net or javascript, or runnable projects (of which unit tests are not included).

Any ideas how to run performance analysis on a unit test in VS 2012?  Was this feature removed?
