Publish Excel Calendar in Outlook Calendar RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have created a Roster for my staff in Excel, is it possible to publish upload share this Roster (Calendar) with my staffs outlook calendars

The roster is complicated, although I consider myself to be a novice user of Office 2007

  • Hello again Mick,

I am wondering if this issue is an end-user question. If yes, this forum is not an appropriate one. I will redirect you to a right forum.

If you are looking for a programming way, I think you could try to use Office automation. For more information about Office automation, please see these resources.

  • Hello Mick6950,

Thanks for posting. Would you please tell us more information about this Roster? How you create it in Excel?

Are you looking for a programming way for this issue?

However, as far as I see, if you are looking for a way by UI. there is not a way for this goal. If not, we could use Excel and Outlook object model to copy the data from Excel into an appointment item.

If you have any concerns on this issue, just feel free to follow up. Have a nice day.

  • Thanks Bessie

As I said I'm pretty basic but I have worked on this roster for years now & I thought it would be ideal if I could post the info into the staffs outlook calendars or appointments as this would sync with their phones & they would be able to plan their future time better.

At the moment I print out a hard copy & they transpose this manually with the inherent errors that occur.

I don't understand what you mean by 1. by way of UI or using Excel and Outlook object model to copy the data from Excel into an appointment item. Sorry but Iam a novice & I appreciate your help.

    Cheers

    Mick

  • Hi Bessie,

I'm soory for the delay in replying, but I've been away.

Well I'm unsure where to go from here as I came across the forum & thought it may have a way for me to achieve my goal.

If I could I would attach my excel project!

Can you refer me to an area that may be able to assist. Its very possible that I'm using the wrong application, but I know excel as well as I do & I was able to get this far

    Thanks in advance

    Mick

  • Hi Bessie

you mentioned that you may refer me to a more appropriate area. However you also mentioned using an object model to copy the data from Excel into an appointment. Can you explain how this works

    Kind regards

    Mick
