IIS 7 http works fine but when configured to use https connection refused page comes up? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello I have a 3rd party web app which when configured not to use SSL it returns the http login page fine but when I enable to require SSL in IIS 7 (Windows 2008 Server) the https login page displays 'Connection refused' error.  I have its SSL using a self signed certificate.  Also when trying to access it via internally via https the login page comes up but with only some content but when trying remotely it comes up connection refused.  Sounds like something to do with SSL permissions/network settings?  Thanks in advance.
