BizTalk Features

Question

Hi.
I am installing BizTalk and I need BAM functionatily.
I read that it is necessary Microsoft SQL Server Data Transformation Services (DTS 2008) with SP1 or higher to run that functionality.
My question is: This is some feature of SQL or we have to install it on the BizTalk server?
Best Regards

Hi
Yes, You would need to install SQL Client tools by running SQL Server setup Wizard.

Hi
This is a feature of SQL and it is required on BizTalk box for the configuration of BAM services and portal. The SQL tools are also used while deploying BAM Activities using bm.exe.
I would suggest you to refer BAM:Survial Guide technet wiki, This has some good links for the installationa and configuration issues while BAM installation.

Sorry Naushad but I have a doubt about your answer.
You say that is a feature of SQL and it it required on BizTalk box. By that are tou saying that I need to install it also on BizTalk server through some kind of exe. file?
Sorry but it is the first time that I am installing it.
Best Regards
