Hard Drives

Question

Primary IDE hard drive. working fine. trying to get info off old sata drive. Sata drive shows up in system devices as an unknown mass storage device. Drive does not show under "My Computer" under the "Hard Disk Drives". anyone have a clue?

Not sure if im asking in the right place. can't figure out why windows is seeing it but not letting me access it. Not able to find any updates or DL's for drivers of anysort.

The cables may not be hooked up right.

Where is it showing up on the system device list?

Unistall it and reboot
