How to open conventional doc file using open xml api? RRS feed

All replies

  • No, the SDK only works with Open XML file formats. However, there are tools to convert doc files to docx, which can then be opened and manipulated via the SDK.

  • Thanks for reply.

I'd like to develop a server side application in ASP.NET environment.

User accesses the web site to upload DOC file.
The web application converts the conventional DOC file to DOCX file, modifies the texts in DOCX file and returns the modified DOC file to user.

I need some API for converting DOC to DOCX.
