Windows Workflow- Is it BPM alternative in stripped down version RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,
We have to create a system which consist of 7 business processes to be implemented.
Initially we thought of using any BPM(Probably biztalk) to create and maintain these business process. However as we proceeded, we found that these business process are quite simple and there are rare chances of buisness processes getting changed(developers can changes it and compile).
Hence we have decided to drop BPM(high cost) and looking for an alternative to implement business processes.
Please advice on whether we can use Windows Foundation to implement these business processes.
Also can it handle complex cases where one business process is used inside another business process.
The solution should be open and flexible so that if we want to move from windows workflow foundation to any BPM, we can eaasily do it with little overhead.
If you don't think windows workflow as a solution for this, please advice an alternative.

Note: We are not looking for any open source BPM for cutting cost here.

    Cheers
