(0x80137ab8 ) i can not install or uninstall any program in windows developer preview 64 bit

    Question

  • when i install any program. It will appear a window,says:

    The extended attributes are inconsistent

     

    then another window says

     


    wermgr.exe-Application Error
    The instruction at 0x80137ab8 referenced memory at 0x80137ab8. The memory could not be written.
    click on OK to terminate the program

     

     

    by the way .

    the IE10 will collapses when i want to insert the picutre in this post~~~

  • Are you installing Windows Developer Preview from an ISO on a DVD, or via USB drive?  If using the DVD, I would attempt burning another copy in case the burn got botched somewhere.  Also, try downloading the ISO image again if you are going the USB route.

    I would also run a memory diagnostics before attempting the OS install to make sure you are not having any hardware issues.

  • I installed mine via USB  drive and had to run their reinstallation program and it was fine after that. I would reinstall to eliminate a bad iso burn. Good luck!
