Upgrade from WS7E to WS7P RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have set up Windows Embedded Standard 7 with WS7E product key. But now I need some features in WS7P, such multi touch. Can I just change product key and add the feature package (tablet pc support) to my live image to make it work? I just don't want to start from scratch again. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

  • Adding the missing packages is possible. Just be sure to include the language package. A configuration set that groups all the packages makes it easier. The license key would be a challenge, but you could put this in a sysprep unattended file and it will be part of every clone.

In the end, going back to ICE and rebuilding will be easier.
